Stress is not always bad. It helps you meet a deadline and react to things that you do not expect. But, stress should be temporary, and you should feel better after the stressful situation has passed. Frequent and prolonged stress can have detrimental effects on your mental and physical health. Most of us are stressed today. We stress over mounting workload in the office, the current pandemic, increasing prices of essential goods, and other family issues.

Scientists believe that our unusual diet is the predominant cause of stress. The frequent tea and snack breaks we take is the culprit. We can prevent our diet from increasing stress levels by including healthy foods that curb stress.

1.Green Tea

Apart from caffeine, green tea also contains theanine, which is an amino acid that is known to reduce stress. Drinking two cups of green tea every day is an excellent brain booster and enhances mental performance. It also provides additional protection from some types of cancer.
