3. Water retention
If you have the habit of adding too much salt to your food, it might result in water retention in your body. Considering several factors like the dosage and brand, even your birth control can affect your weight, the chances are much higher in case you are using pills. If you have recently changed your birth control medication and you are gaining weight suddenly, you might have to consult a doctor and look for other options.
6. Getting old
Once you start hitting the higher numbers in your age scale, your metabolism starts to slow down and you start losing your lean muscle mass. As a result, you will have to take extra efforts to lose your weight and stay in shape.
