Oatmeal and cereal are traditionally known to help with weight loss. While plain oatmeal and cereal do the trick, flavored oatmeal or cereal have a high sugar content. We understand that bland oatmeal might not sound fun. You can spice up the taste of the oatmeal by adding natural flavors, depending on your taste. Assuming Your Smoothie Is Healthy

Smoothies are on the positive side, only when they are a delicious blend of natural berries, almond milk, soy milk or fresh vegetables. Heavier ingredients like dairy, peanut butter or Greek yogurt are to be used sparingly.

 

You drink too much fruit juice

When we say juice, we mean packed fruit juice. Though they claim to be, they are not sugar-free and they have a high content of citric acid. If you are looking to use fruits in your breakfast, it is better to go for whole fruits or freshly squeezed juice with pulp.

 

Adding Too Much To Your Coffee

Coffee can keep you more alert and healthy. As always, there is a catch to this too. Your coffee consumption has to be moderated. But the ingredients going along with coffee like sugar, flavored syrup or whipped cream are the culprits. It is better to enjoy your coffee as black as possible.

 

You have flavored yogurt

We are all aware of the widespread health benefits of yogurt. Half of them are not applicable for packed or flavored yogurt. Instead of flavored yogurt, you can go for a homemade mixed fruit yogurt custard or any similar recipe which you can prepare at home with natural yogurt.

 

You eat energy bars for a quick breakfast

Using energy bars as a quick and healthy alternative  for breakfast is fine. Most of them are rich in muesli, flax seeds and other ingredients full of energy. What we have to watch out for is the high sugar content these bars are coated with. Make sure to double check the list of ingredients before biting one.
